Affiliate links

Some links on Trekalto may be partner links (also called affiliate links). This page explains what that means for you.

What changes for you

When you click a partner link and then book or buy with that partner, Trekalto may earn a commission. It does not cost you more: the price on the partner’s site stays the same.

Partner links are labelled next to the link (“Partner link”) and open the partner’s site in a new tab.

Independent recommendations

We do not recommend a product, stay, or service because it pays a commission. Choices in your plans (huts, stages, official transport) are based on trail data and official sources, not on a payout table.

Links to official hut, lift, or public-transport sites are not partner links unless clearly labelled.

Travel insurance

For travel insurance, Trekalto only points you to the insurer (for example via a link to their site). We do not give insurance advice, compare cover, issue quotes, or show prices.

Trekalto is not an insurance intermediary and is not registered with ORIAS (the French insurance intermediary register). Any purchase is made only with the insurer, under their terms.

Partners we may work with

Trekalto may later offer links to programmes such as:

  • GetYourGuide
  • Heymondo (travel insurance — referral only)
  • Welcome Pickups
  • Omio
  • Decathlon
  • Booking.com

Until a programme is switched on, no link on the site is marked as a partner link.

Cookies and Travelpayouts

To power some partner offers, Trekalto may load the Travelpayouts Drive script only if you accept the “Partner links / affiliation” category in the cookie banner. Without consent, that script is not loaded. Change your choice anytime via “Manage cookies” in the footer. Details in the privacy policy.

Following a partner link takes you to the partner’s site, which has its own policy (cookies, analytics, and so on).
